So, this is it!! Welcome to the first-ever episode of the My Breast My Health Podcast. I am super excited to launch this podcast and it has been a long time coming!
Firstly, thank you so much for being here. It means the world to me. I know that there are thousands of podcasts out there vying for your ears and attention, so I am grateful that you have taken time out of your busy day to check out this podcast.
My name is Tasha Gandamihardja and I am a breast cancer surgeon. I created this podcast as a place to discuss topics related to breast cancer and health. I will be interviewing experts in the field of medicine, surgery as well as the health and wellness space. We will have discussions about the various breast cancer treatments, their side effects and learn ways to live a healthy life.
There also will be solo episodes where I go through specific topics in more detail, with the aim to educate and inform.
But most importantly, I will be having conversations with those who have been affected by breast cancer, and who have been generous enough to share their stories. There may be difficult conversations about diagnosis and treatments, and how they emerged through the other side. However, the hope is that by sharing stories, we can learn from one another and be a source of inspiration.
Thank you so much for being here and let’s build a community.
